I wanted to share how excited I am to be one of twenty-three experienced special education attorneys from across the country chosen to present at the Symposium. We will lecture and take questions via Zoom in 3-hour sessions that address topics of urgent interest concerning the education of students with disabilities. Based upon the latest court decisions, the sessions are carefully balanced to provide both school and parent perspectives. “Hot topics” will include ADHD, autism, ESY, creative remedies, low incidence disabilities, Section 504, and COVID-19. For registration information: go.lehigh.edu/spedlaw.
Why I wanted to share with all of you is because there is a legally basic track that provides a comprehensive exploration of various foundational principles of special education law. The legally basic track is intended for teachers, graduate students, parents, and others with no or limited previous coursework or experience in special education law. The legally experienced track provides the nuances sought by experienced special education directors, due process hearing officers, and attorneys.
Please contact me if you have any questions. Also, please feel free to share the information with friends, family and your network.
